Hario V60 Glass Dripper 01 Design
Made from thick borosilicate glass the V60 dripper is much heavier than a plastic dripper and will hold heat extremely well. It has a plastic base attached to the bottom so no heat will get transferred to the handle.
V60 – "CONE FILTER" IT'S A TASTY SHAPE
Follow these steps to brew coffee with V60
Step 1: Fold the paper filter along the seams and place inside the cone. Add coffee grounds (medium-fine grind) for your required servings and shake it lightly to level.
*10-12 gram is normally good for one serving (120ml). The attached measuring spoon = 12g / 1 spoon. Using freshlu ground coffee is recommended. (Adjust proportions for a stronger or weaker brew)
Step 2: Take the boiling water off the flame, and wait for the water to settle. Pour water slowly to moisten the grounds from the center outward, while moving in a circular parttern. Wait for about 30 seconds.
Step 3: Slowly start adding more water using the same speed and swirling motion as before, making sure the water does not come into direct contact with the paper filter. Brewing time should be within 3 minutes.

Supportive tools and cone structure Hario V60:
1. V60 measuring spoon:
The measuring spoon is attached with Hario V60 with the function of measuring amount of coffee ground for consistent cups of coffee and convenient practice.
2. Cone shape of V60 Hario:
Cone shape
By coning the dripper the ground coffee are in a thicker layer than in the regular fan. The water flows to the center, extending the amount of time it is in contact with the grounds. Better flavor even in a small number of servings and more coffee extraction than from a regular fan dripper.

Large single hole
A large single hole in the bottom allows the tip of paper filter to "drop" from the dripper. Freeing the water to extract more from the ground coffee, as a flannel filter would. The flavor changes by the speed the water flows, letting the brewer determine the taste.

|
Spiral ribs
The ribs on the dripper walls rise all the way to the top, creating enough space between the filter paper and the dripper, so they don't cling. This space allows the air to escape when brewing to maximize expansion of the ground coffee.
