Melitta® Connect App
With the Melitta® Connect App many of the features on your fully automatic coffee machine can be managed with your smart phone. For example, appliance settings can be managed conveniently and personal My Coffee Profiles can be programmed and saved. Practical tutorials assist you with cleaning and maintaining the appliance. A special highlight with this app is that you can create your very own coffee specialities. The order in which the ingredients are poured into the cup, the amount of coffee, frothed milk and hot water and further coffee settings can be managed individually.
21 coffee specialities
Thanks to the product buttons you can make the 4 classics espresso, café crème, cappuccino and latte macchiato at the touch of a button. The recipe book feature allows you to create 17 further coffee specialities such as flat white, ristretto, americano or espresso doppio.
Automatic Bean Select
The innovative Automatic Bean Select selects automatically the correct bean type for your favourite coffee. Just as you wish you can change the automatic choice of bean chamber individually by touching the operating panel or you can change the settings in the menu. Active bean monitoring helps you prevent the grinder running on empty and tells you in good time to refill with coffee beans.
IntenseAroma
The IntenseAroma feature can be selected instead of the standard brewing process. The result is an especially intensive tasting coffee - without having to change the amount of coffee or water you use. This feature can be selected for all coffee specialities.
My Coffee Memory
You don‘t want to set your personal coffee preferences each time you make a coffee? No problem! With the “My Coffee Memory“ feature you can programme your favourite coffee specialities completely individually. The Melitta® Barista TS Smart® saves the preference settings for up to 8 people.
Italian Preparation Process
The Italian Preparation Process gives you authentic flavour by ensuring that the ingredients are added in the correct order according to the original Italian recipe. So for latte macchiato the espresso is added after the milk and frothed milk and for cappuccino it is the other way round.
Best Aroma System Plus
Perfect development of coffee flavour with the following individual systems: With the bean to cup feature just the right amount of coffee beans is freshly ground and the ground coffee is used immediately. Auto Empty Grinding* - The grinder grinds empty each time ensuring that every cup of coffee is made with freshly ground coffee beans and the taste is not spoiled by ground coffee residues. The special seal on the Aromasafe® lid of the two-chamber bean container guarantees a real fresh coffee enjoyment experience cup after cup. The dark tinted container also helps preserve the flavour of the coffee beans.
* Please note: After changing the bean type some beans of the previous type remain in the grinder. As these need to be used up, it can take up to three cups – depending on the coffee strength – to change over to the new type of beans.

The innovative Touch & Slide feature allows you to simply and conveniently set and use your machine by gently touching the sensor panels.
Double Cup Mode
With Double Cup Mode you can make two cups of numerous coffee specialities with or without milk at the same time.
All-in-One outlet
Separate nozzles for coffee, milk and hot water mean it is easy to make your favourite drink without moving the cup. The outlet also has integrated LED illumination and is height adjustable up to 140 mm, so there is space even for tall latte macchiato glasses.
PRO AQUA Filter technology
If you use a Melitta® Pro Aqua Water filter then the Barista TS Smart® only needs to be descaled once a year. The filtered water not only improves the quality and the flavour of your coffee, but also prevents limescale deposits building up in the water system.
(This is based on brewing six 120 ml cups of coffee a day and changing the filter six times in accordance with the appliance specifications.)
Removable brewing unit
The brewing unit is practical, easy to remove and easy to clean. This also allows the inside of the machine to be cleaned.
Plug-in milk system
