Named after a rare buffalo species, Bosgaurus Coffee is located in a French-style villa on the banks of the Saigon River right off Nguyen Huu Canh. The space of shop is wide and it`s view extremely green and fresh. Located right on the banks of the Saigon River, Bosgaurus is an ideal spot to relax in the evenings without the bustling sounds of the city. Sticking to its casual style, there are no staff uniforms which helps set the tone for a relaxed, casual atmosphere. From sourcing, washing, sorting, roasting, and brewing their own coffee, Bosgaurus’ open floor and cafe bar emphasizes the transparency of their coffee making process. The design is meant to be public and activated, where customers can socialize with the staff and see the whole brewing process. The design aesthetic is black, white, stainless steel. Minimalist and intentionally designed to allow patrons to focus exclusively on the coffee.
Master barista Nguyen Canh Hung, whose specialist coffee house Bosgaurus (Saigon Pearl Villa 1D5, 92 Nguyen Huu Canh, Binh Thanh) opened earlier this year, is leading the resistance against coffee illiteracy in this country—and is now offering highly specialized taste training sessions to awaken the senses to the full bouquet of the coffee bean. Hung is a relatively recent convert; it was only while undergoing work training in Amsterdam that he stumbled upon the largely European art of coffee tasting and promptly lost his heart to it.

Bosgaurus Coffee is one of the only speciality coffee stores in Ho Chi Minh City to serve their Vietnamese ca phe sua da by Arabica beans. When you visit and speak with the staff, you can see why Bosgaurus Coffee is the home for the 2016, 2017 Vietnam Barista Championships sanctioned by the World Coffee Events. The shop has won cup of excellent awards from the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and it’s easy to see why.
